The second fat burning diet pill for women that I had to try was Nutrex Research Lipo 6 Black Hers. Lipo 6 black hers reviews that I had read to this point were for the most part positive, which was my main reason for trying it. I’ve been trying to cut down a little bit recently to try and get my core leaned out a little bit for a big independence day cookout, so I figured what better time than now to try out a new diet pill. Without further ado, here it is- the official PBW4W review of Nutrex Research Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate, I hope you find it informative!
Lipo 6 Black Hers Results & Effectiveness: 8.6
For those of you looking for a quick-hitting list of the pros of this product- here are the sparknotes, or, the ‘PROS’ of Nutrex Research Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate:
LIPO 6 PROS:
- New Ab Cuts
- More Dry, hard look
- Great Burst of Anytime Energy
I’ll start with the effectiveness. This product is legit. As with all of my diet pill reviews, I gave Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate an honest two weeks to do it’s thing. I was really pleased with the results that I got- particularly in my midsection. As mentioned, I’m trying to get my core toned down for the Summer beach parties and holidays, and I’ve been really pleasantly surprised to find that Nutrex’s fat burning pill has allowed me to do that. My workout regiment has taken a heavy-up in the abs department, so several of the results can most likely be attributed to that, but I’ve got to give credit where credit is due. My obliques, serratus, and frontal abs all have a much leaner, ‘dryer’ look, which is totally awesome.
While I did experience some noticeable results from taking Nutrex Lipo 6 Black Hers- I also noticed some minor drawbacks. Here’s a quick list of the ‘cons’ that I had to include in this review.
CONS & Lipo 6 Side Effects:
- Minor Jitters
- Total Appetite Suppression
- Sleeplessness if taken too late
My cons show you some of the negative effects of taking Lipo 6. Don’t get me wrong, I really did enjoy almost every aspect of this diet pill- not the least of which was that my abs look way better than they did prior to starting to take it. But there are a few quick things that you should be aware of. the first thing was that I did get a little jittery when I upped my dosage from two to the recommended three pills at a time. I think the Citrus Aurantium had alot to do with this. Those of you who have read several of my reviews know that I don’t always feel great when taking synephrine/citrus aurantium. Even though they used the patented Advantra-Z version in here, I still had some moments where I felt crumby.
Another thing that I noted over the course of taking Lipo 6 Black Hers was that I never ate. Like ever. Now I know some of you might be thinking “O that’s awesome, I need that!”- think carefully about it. Because I prefer to train really hard and usually average about four to five really serious gym sessions a week. What I was starting to notice was that I was getting kind of sluggish in the gym. I couldn’t really figure out why, until one day I was like ‘wait, when is the last time I ate anything?’ And the answer was, ‘O. Right. Like yesterday lunch!’ So my advice to those of you who do train hard and are considering taking Lipo 6 Black Hers- definitely MAKE yourself eat, and keep your nutrition in check, because it’s just too easy to skip out on meals with this product.
Last thing that I had to cover off on is that there’s a pretty heavy stimulant effect in this diet pill, especially when taking the full three pill dosages. I made the mistake of taking it at like 4 PM one day, and OMG I legit did not fall asleep until 4 AM (exactly 12 hours after). It really was crappy and I felt like I was dragging so bad the next day. So definitely be disciplined and don’t take your last dose any later than 1 or 2 PM that day to make sure you can still get some proper sleep!
Packaging: 2
Per usual, I had to take the Lipo 6 Black Hers label into account for my official reviews. As a fashion and design SNOB, a product must hold a certain standard to be a (regular) part of my life. Unfortunately, I kind of hate the Lipo 6 Black Hers label. At the top it says in huge lettering ‘Use with caution due to extreme potency’. This is sort of the horrifying to me, and one of the last things I want to read before putting three black pills in my mouth. Why they would put this garbage on the top of the label is beyond me. Even if it IS just marketing blow-hard, I think it’s awful. Speaking of awful, can we talk about the black and gold color scheme with the atrocious skeumorphic font for the ‘LIPO 6’ hero text? I literally ripped the entire shrink sleeve off and threw it away so that I didn’t have to look at it anymore. Literally the grossest thing I’ve ever seen. Anyways. That’s my rant on the label. It’s pretty horrid. Hire a new desinger Nutrex! (or at least get a women’s input on the ‘hers’ products!)
Nutrex Lipo 6 Black Hers Ingredients: 8.2
The ingredient breakdown of Nutrex’s women’s fat burner is pretty solid. I do admire that they held the list to just 6 ingredients. All too often you’ll see companies try and force the kitchen sink into a fat burning pill, and it just ends up being too distilled to make it effective. After all, the pill as a medium puts a cap on the volume of powder that you can load into it, so you need to be mindful of that and use a reasonable amount of raw materials. This particular formula includes:
- Caffeine: Very standard ingredient in fat burners and diet pills. This classic stimulant works by stimulating your adrenal glands, which will automatically shift your fuel source to fat.
- Coleus Forskohlii: Derived from Plectranthus barbatus, a tropical perennial plant, this herb has been used for years for altering body composition. No real bullet-proof research exists on it, but many swear by it. Often found in men’s testosterone boosters.
- Yohimbe: A mild stimulant and aphrodisiac, yohimbe works in a similar way to caffeine, and is often found alongside it in diet pills.
- Beta Phenylethylamine (PEA): This nootropic (brain/mental supplement) is found in several supplements because it supports the brain’s output of dopamine – the ‘feel good’ hormone. It can also help with cognition/memory and focus.
- Advantra Z Branded Citrus Aurantium: This ingredient, which I’ve seen in countless weight-loss and sports supplements, jacks up your metabolism and assists in breaking down fat.
- Zingerone: I’m not sure what this is supposed to do – but it is found in ginger. It may just be an additive with neglibable effects.
Overall I think this list of ingredients is strong. It is clearly effective and performs as advertised, so from that standpoint it is a successful formulation. As is such, my review of the Nutrex Lipo 6 Ultra Hers formula is a solid B.
Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate Summary & Final Score: 8.3
In conclusion, I am a fan of Nutrex’s diet pill for women. The reviews are for the most part positive, and now I know why. It really is an effective product, and one that I am comfortable taking on a regular basis. The only downside is that it has a pretty unattractive label, but I can live with an ugly package if at the end of the day it performs for me. And at just $25 bucks (GNC), This product is a great value.
