Smartbody Nutrilean is an ‘all-in-one’ fat burner that I’m going to review today. In this Nutrilean fat burner review I’ll describe what happens (or doesn’t happen) when you take this fat loss supplement. Is it effective? Will it make you lose a bunch of weight? You’re going to find out. I’ve been taking this product for just over three weeks and can give you a really good sense of the effects. There are a few things you need to be aware of side effect-wise, so I’ll be sure to include all my thoughts on that front as well. As with all my fat burner reviews I’m also going to run down the ingredients one by one and tell you if everything in here is safe for consumption. I can tell you right away that this fat burner is not for the faint of heart. I’d actually go so far as to say that this fat burner is for the more hardcore fat-loss user. It’s very stimulant-intensive and has some very powerful ingredients. At the end of this review I’ll even talk about the packaging and appearance just so that I’m literally leaving no stone left un turned when discussing SmartBody’s Nutrilean. Of course I’ll do this review wilth my usual fun sense of humor as well. So you can look forward to a really fun half hour of reading. Let’s start the Nutrilean Review.
So these last few weeks have been a bit of a struggle for me. In addition to going through a rather tumultuous relationship, er, ending, I’ve also fallen victim to injury and decided that instead of just working out through the pain as usual, that I will rest, heal, and allow my body to actually take care of the injury. And maybe Nutrilean can help me stay fit-looking while I recover. If you’ve ever messed up your elbows than you know that this might legitimately take forEVER. But I’m committed to staying the course. I will NOT try and come back too soon again. And the same with dating. I’m letting my wounded heart heal too (sad face emoji). Lol. Such a bundle of emotions right now! But. You don’t care. I get it. Let’s actually talk about the product in question.
Does Smartbody Nutrilean Work?
The first most important thing that we are going to talk about is whether or not Nutrilean actually helps you lose weight. I’ve always been sort of skeptical about a new fat burner because I’ve tried SO many that just don’t do anything. But if you can say ONE thing about Smartbody’s fat burner, it’s that it certainly does do SOMETHING. So what is does it do? It gets you absolutely fired up. I’m talking energy central. I’m talking, like, you will call your best friends and just start chatting up a storm about whatever. And then you might not even remember doing it. Lol. There are some super strong stimulants in Nutrilean that start to give energy almost immediately. If you’ve ever taken a powerful pre workout like EVL Engine or something like that, then you know what I’m talking about. So it gives lots of energy. But does it work in terms of fat-loss?
I think that this product KIND of helps with fat loss. I mean. The premise is that by giving you all this stimulant energy, Nutrilean will essentially curb your appetite to the point where you don’t want to eat anything. This is definitely real. I literally had days where I would realize that I hadn’t eaten, like, anything, for the entire day. And I would be sitting there at like 7 pm thinking this! It’s scary almost how completely some of these products can just totally squash your appetite. I think it’s good for someone who has constant snacking cravings. I’m not one of those people so I don’t know if this product is THAT great for me, but I think if you want something to really crush your appetite, this might be a good fit for you. All that being said, after two weeks time I really didn’t notice any super dramatic changes to my physique. I was a tad bit leaner, but nothing crazy. Which is surprising because, again, I was definitely eating less.
Smartbody Nutrilean Side Effects:
I do have to list out the two side effects of this fat burner just because you know I have to give the good with the bad. You can’t just do one or the other. But the good thing is that this product won’t kill you. Or at least not immediately. Because I’m still here right? Lol. But. yeah. Here are the only two side effects of NutriLean that I could notice:
- Team No Sleep: Yes. I think this is a hashtag that Dewayne Johnson uses alot. And I have to say you will be using it if you take SmartBody NutriLean too close to bedtime. I took it by accident one night at like 7 PM, which I THOUGHT was enought time for it to get out of my system. But it’s not. I was up ALL night. Like. All night. Buzzing. Don’t take this product past 4 PM. Trust me.
- Jittery John: Is the name of a cool quirky coffee company in San Francisco. And it’s also what you will be called by your friends if you are a guy named John and you take a serving of Nutrilean on an empty stomach. I found that if I took this product without any food on either side of it, I would get really pretty shaky. It’s not a great feeling. Just make sure you try and eat something within an hour either before or after you take it, and you’ll be good. (I would advise BEFORE because you will not want to eat anything afterwards). Here’s why:
Smartbody Nutrilean Formula Grade: 8.3
I don’t HATE this formula. I also don’t love it. The thing about Nurilean is that it’s mostly an energy pill. The fat loss complete is such a small component relative to the energy stuff that you could literally just use this as an energy supplement. What I’m kind of annoyed by with this formula is that they disclose the ingredients in three different blends instead of listing out exact amounts. But at least Nutrilean DOES tell you the caffeine amount, which is nice. The caffeine amount is also absurdly high at 375 mg. That’s where the jitters come from I guess! But here is the full ingredients list:
Fat Loss Complex:
- Hoodia Gordonii
- Guggul Lipid Extract
- Cha de Burge
Energy Boost Complex
- Yohimbe HCL
- Caffeine Anhydrous
- Green Tea Extract
- Vitamin B6
- White Willow Bark
- Phenylethylamine (PEA)
- L-Tyrosine AKG
Again, in terms of energy and focus, this product kills it. PEA, vinpocetine, and Yohimbe are responsible for giving massive amounts of energy, especially since they are combined with all that caffeine. In terms of the ‘fat burner’ ingredients in Nutrilean, I don’t have a ton of experience with cha de bugre but from what I understand of it, this ingredient will suppress the appetite even more while providing even more energy.
Smartbody Nutrilean Packaging Grade: 7.2
This packaging is fantastically underwhelming to look at. What you have is a black jar with the same color layout as Shakeology, but without the same level of character that Shakeology has. I think the highlight of this product, at least from an appearance standpoint, would have to be the ‘Nutrilean’ product title, which actually uses a reasonable handsome font. I don’t totally understand what ‘Nutriboost’ means or why it is on the label- but maybe it is like a sub-brand of Smartbody. I think Smartbody has really sort of done themselves a disservice by fragmenting the brand into sub brands. I think they dilute the strength of the Smartbody name. Other things I don’t love about his product from a packaging standpoint are the MASSIVE ’90’, which you are LED to believe means ’90 servings’ but in reality it’s 30 servings, because each serving is 3 capsules. Other than that, this product is really pretty plain. The Nutrilean label does have some product highlights called out along the bottom, but it’s quite boring, really.
Smartbody Nutrilean Review Summary
- Smartbody Nutrilean Performance Grade: 8.3
- Smartbody Nutrilean Formula Grade: 8.3
- Smartbody Nutrilean Packaging Grade: 7.2
- Smartbody Nutrilean Value Grade: 8.8
I’m going to give Nutrilean an 8.3 for a final score. I’ve always put alot of value on what the product does for you performance-wise. So I’m going to give this fat burner the same score overall as on performance. This fat burner will perk you up, but maybe not really help you slim down, which is why I have to give it just an average score.
