Time for my second Evogen review – today’s review will be on their fat burner called ‘Lipocide’. In this Evogen Lipocide Metabolic Accelerator review, I’m going to basically tell you all about my life and what’s going on in it. The thing you have to understand is that for me, these reviews are also my blog, so be prepared for something that’s a little bit less, er, conventional than the reviews you are probably used to. This review is going to be go all over the place, but I will try to stick with my usual syntax for fat burner reviews. That syntax usually goes like this- first thing I’ll do is talk about the brand in question, how I came about their products, etc. The second thing I’ll do is talk about the product performance: that’s where I’ll answer the question you’re probably here to know which is ‘Does Lipocide Work?’. Of course these products work differently for different people, so you can’t take my word as the only answer but I’m usually right about these things after doing literally hundreds of supplement reviews. The other criteria we’ll talk about for Evogen Lipocide are the formula, and the packaging. You have to know how both of these areas compare to the competition. Let’s get the review started!
Lipocide. I have to admit. When I finally put my order in for this fat burner, I was a little bit unsure of myself. I quite frankly told myself after my last ‘hardcore’ fat burner, Finaflex PX White Mamba or whatever it was called- that I was going to stick to something a little less, well, terrifying feeling. That product, along with the BPI Burn XS fat burner, each basically felt like they wanted to kill me. And not quickly and painlessly. They felt like they were going to make your heart explode. Needless to say I was not interested in going down that path again. Sigh. But when a fan asks me to review a product, I usually comply. Like 90% of the time. So I did what any good reviewer does. I bought a jar of Lipocide, throw some salt over my shoulder, and hoped that it’s as good as the other Evogen Product I reviewed- which is Carnigen. I really enjoyed Carnigen. So how did Lipocide turn out for me? Let me tell you.
Does Evogen Lipocide Metabolic Acclerator Work?
Sometimes fat burners can be a toss-up. I would say of all the product categories here on the blog, fat burners are the most prone to getting a terrible review. My fat burner review section is loitered with C’s, D’s, and even some F’s believe it or not. But. This is not going to be one of those reviews. Despite being a LITTLE too strong for me, I found Lipocide to be one of the best fat burners I’ve reviewed this year from a performance standpoint. Here is my two week log:
Day 2: Ok I usually don’t do a post until at least a week in but I had to tell you my initial reaction to this fat burner. The initial reaction is HOLY crap that’s energizing. Just one pill in the morning and I am FLYING. I have a protein meal replacement shake as my first meal of the day but honestly with Lipocide you have to FORCE yourself to eat. You really don’t have the urge to consume anything when you take Evogen Lipocide. It’s cray cray.
Day 5: I think I’ve already seen a tiny bit of a result from the Evogen Lipocide. This morning my face looked a little thinner and less chip-munk-y than usual. Talk about a great way to start the day! I think my shoulders. look a bit sleeker too.
Day 9: A few days into my second week and I’ve definitely seen better progress than my usual non-supplemented cutting cycles. I really think my glutes, lower back, and again my shoulders have benefited most.
Day 14: Whew. I do think Lipocide has helped me get to this point. I’m not the leanest I’ve ever been in my life, but for 4 weeks out, I think I’m leaner than I usually am at this point. My cutting is going really really well, and Lipocide has been a great part of that.
To summarize my thoughts on Lipocide. It’s definitely strong. I want to be clear about that up front. Evogen comes from the mind of a super knowledgable pro trainer and he put some serious pop into his fat burner to help his trainees get their results. His trainees also all do PED’s which is why they expect and need something stronger. I like this product alot and I was dosing it only 1 pill a day. It lasts a good long time that way too. Overall I give Evogen Lipocide an 8.6/10 on the formula. Let’s look at the formulation now.
Evogen Lipocide Formula Grade: 8.0
I want to give Lipocide an even better grade on the ingredients, but the scared, conservative Allie is telling me to be, well, scared and conservative. The formulation of this metabolic accelerator is pretty close to being one of the most stimulant-intensive fat burners that I’ve tried. There is actually a good deal of overlap from an ingredient standpoint, between this, and the FinaFlex XT. Let’s a look at all the ingredients in Evogen Lipocide:
Acetyl L-carnitine HCL, Choline Bitartrate, N-acetyl L-tyrosine, Citrus aurantium (fruit) extract (as Advantra-Z®), Evodia rutaecarpa (fruit) extract, Beta-phenylethylamine HCL, Capsicum annum (fruit) extract (as Capsimax™), 5-Hydroxy Tryptophan, Velvet bean extract, N-Methyl Tyramine, Piper nigrum (fruit) extract (as Bioperine®), Yohimbine HCL
Starting right from the start you have mood enhancers, and cognitive enhancers. I would use this product as much for the energy and focus as I would for the fat burning component. I like how this on does use Evodia Rutaecarpa as one of the primary thermogenic ingredients. It’s underused and really makes you feel like you’re on top of the world. I also really like how this one uses 5 HTP to add a bit of a protective layer to the effects that it provides. Bascially when you are taking that has a good deal of stimulant qualities like this one, you should try to supplement with 5 HTP to make sure the adrenal system isn’t getting overworked. I think 5 HTP is one of the best vehicles for that. This product also includes yohimbine, which is not my favorite. Beta Phenylethylamine HCL is another one of my less desired ingredients. They make me feel a little bit ’down’ after taking them- part of why I’m giving the formula a ‘B’. Let’s talk about the Evogen Lipocide packaging now.
Evogen Lipocide Fat Burner Packaging Grade: 7.5
Evogen doesn’t spend TOO much time on the packaging- that much is clear. The bottle is white. The label is white, but kind of pearly. The graphics use blue gradients and bright red accents to bring some life and contrast to things. The things that stand out to me about this design are obviously the red element, which says ‘Metabolic Accelerator’. This is a strong callout, and echoes a note of seriousness to the overall product. The effects are also listed: “Rapid Fat Metabolism”, “Energy & Focus”, and “Appetite Control”. And I’ll be the first to tell you those are all accurate assessments. This product does all three things. I guess nothing about this label BOTHERS me from a packaging standpoint, but in my opinion it just doesn’t do all that much to jump out and differentiate itself. So that’s the reason why I’m giving it just a ‘C’. Overall there are much worse though. See my Fuel Up Burn Review, for example.
Evogen Lipocide Metabolic Accelerator Review Summary:
- Evogen Lipocide Performance Grade: 9.0
- Evogen Lipocide Formula Grade: 8.0
- Evogen Lipocide Fat Burner Packaging Grade: 7.5
- Evogen Lipocide Fat Burner Value Grade: 8.8
There’s a good deal to like about this fat burner. The product looks average, and does have some rather ‘edgy’ ingredients. But it also works. And that’s not something to take lightly. I would recommend this product to experienced fitness athletes.*
