Your Super Super Green Mix reviews are starting to become more popular on my IG feed so I figured I would fire up some new reviews for you guys. Most of the greens products that I’ve tried recently have had some pretty remarkable pros and cons so I am very curious to dig a little bit into Super Greens Mix and see if this popular veggie drink by Your Super works for me. In this Your Super review, I’ll talk about how these greens taste (news alert, not that great), I’ll then talk about the Your Super Greens ingredients, and then finally the packaging. The goal here is to figure out if Your Super Super Greens are worth a shot. Do they deserve a place in your supplement cupboard? Let’s find out in this ‘super’ Your Super Greens Mix review.
Your Super is one of those new crunchy-granola-style supplement brands that I’m starting to see more and more of. I used to hear alot more about them but I think they might have slowed down a little bit. As you guys might remember, I actually tried their ‘skinny protein blend‘ a few months ago, and thought it was just okay. Their packaging makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but their flavors were a little bit off.. But I figured since taste is less important with Greens, maybe this Super Greens mix would be more appealing to me. Why don’t we get the easy part out of the way first- what does Your Super Super Greens even taste like?
Super Greens Taste, Well, Like Vegetables.
No surprise there, right? I know some Greens products actually do have somewhat of a flavor, but not the Your Super Greens. No. These taste very much like garden vegetables. It’s not a strong flavor, thankfully, but these Greens definitely have a taste. I’m trying to think of what else to compare these too.. I guess the Alani Nu Greens have a similar sort of taste as these Your Super Greens- sort of earthy but not all that intolerable.
In fact, I think that most people, myself included, actually would prefer to have these Greens products taste more natural and NOT have some sort of crazy taste. I find that for me, the product feels more effective when it doesn’t have some kind of crazy bold flavor. You know? It’s like a psychological thing, Lol. But yeah. Your Super Greens taste like greens. They are not sweet, and they have no flavoring ingredients so it’s like, what you see is what you get flavor-wise. But let’s dig a little bit deeper into the Your Super Super Green Mix ingredients and see what’s actually in here.
What are the Main Super Greens Ingredients?
Depending on the product, Greens powders/vegetable replacements can have a super broad range of ingredients. If you remember from my 1st Phorm Opti-Greens review that I published a few weeks ago (read the Opti-Greens review here), that product had a BOATload of ingredients. If I counted them up correctly I think it had a full 50 ingredients (thus the name Opti-Greens 50). But. Remember that it is not necessarily always ‘the more the merrier’. And I think that’s what we’re seeing with these Your Super Greens. This one has just SIX ingredients. So how could it possibly be as good as the 1st Phorm product with just 6 ingredients? Well. It isn’t and I’ll explain why in a minute but first let’s list out the full list of ingredients.
Your Super Super Green Mix ingredients:
Organic Wheatgrass
Organic Barley Grass
Organic Baobab
Organic Moringa
Organic Spirulina
Organic Cholorella
NOTES: So just six ingredients, like I said. Your Super really picked some interesting veggies to be part of the six… I’m not sure that I love the ones that they picked TBH…I like spirulina as much as the next chick but I’ve never been a believer in the ‘grasses’. I feel like those are a high-margin, low-effect ingredient that are always in these greens products but never really do anything.. Yeah I just don’t love this formula. Moringa is okay but there is something to keep in mind with that ingredient as I’ll discuss in the Your Super Greens Mix side effects section shortly. Hm.
In terms of calories and all that- these Your Super Greens are pretty lightweight, calorically speaking. They have 15 calories per serving, which is not that much. Only 2g of carbs is fine but here’s the thing. The serving size is just 5 grams. That’s nothing compared to some of the other Greens products that I’ve tried. It’s just simple math, you are not getting very much product for your money with Super Greens Mix. That’s something we’ll get back to at the end of the review but first let’s go over the benefits of the product, i.e. what it actually does for you…
Do Your Super Greens Actually Have Any Benefits?
The greens are super hard to quantify when it comes to them ‘working’ or not. As you know if you read my 1st Phorm Greens review, sometimes the Greens products do work and provide some benefits. The 1st Phorm product seemed to really help with some digestive things I usually deal with. I felt like it was an effective product. With these Your Super Greens, I think I felt them working slightly with energy (which would make since because it has the moringa powder in it). But I didn’t really feel any additional benefits that some folks talked about like reducing oxidative stress or anything like that. So I guess if you are wondering if Your Super Greens actually ‘work’, then that is anyone’s guess.
Your Super Greens Mix Side Effects
In terms of side effects, the Your Super Greens didn’t necessarily have any that I am aware of, but I will say that there were a few days that I took Your Super Super Greens and had some very slight stomach discomfort. This happens to me from time to time when I take anything with moringa in it, since moringa is commonly known to be a bit harsh on the stomach. Even if you do experience a little bit of a cramped feeling from Super Greens it will not be all that bad though.
Your Super Super Greens Mix Packaging is Awesome.
One of the best parts about this product is actually it’s packaging. Your Super does an amazing job of not only branding but also keeping their environmental footprint low. Their jars seem to be made from paperboard or some kind of compressed fibers that are recyclable and not plastic. It isn’t the most beautiful packaging that I’ve seen, but I will give it high marks because of the sustainability factor.
Your Super Greens Mix Review Summary
– Your Super Greens is the green vegetable offering from California health and wellness brand ‘Your Super’
– The product contains 6 different organic vegetable/botanical ingredients and is designed to provide naturally-derived vitamins and and minerals
– Your Super Greens are unflavored but have a gentle earthy taste and somewhat griitty texture
– Your Super Greens provide no instantly noticeable benefits but are likely to help provide some overall benefits over time
– Your Super Greens are affordable priced at around $29 per jar
So. Where does all of this net out? Well. Here’s the thing. Your Super Greens are rather light in terms of raw material content and dosing.. meaning that they just don’t have all that much going on inside. Just 6 ingredients and a 5 gram serving is a fraction of what some of these other products are providing. Yes, it is a good product, but it isn’t great because of how lightly-dosed it is. I love the Your Super story and branding, but this Greens Mix is not a great buy.*
